What is Hospice Care?

Hospice care is a specialized model and philosophy of care that focuses on providing palliative care to those experiencing a life limiting illness or condition that indicates a likelihood of a prognosis of six months or less. The Hospice model of care takes a holistic approach to treatment that addresses their physical, emotional, and spiritual needs as well as the emotional and spiritual needs of their caregivers, and family members.

When a person reaches a point in which their illness or condition has reached a point in which treatment no longer works or the patient no longer seeks treatment for the illness or condition and would rather seek comfort management.

Supporting a loved one through their end of life can be emotional, stressful, overwhelming and exhausting. Hospice care from experiences and loving professionals gives you endless support through every up and down during this difficult time. Let us help and support you. An assessment is free and hospice care is covered 100% by Medicare and Medicaid as well as many other insurance providers.

What is Palliative Care?

Palliative care, often known as comfort care or supportive care, constitutes a specialized healthcare approach dedicated to improving the overall quality of life for individuals confronting severe illnesses. This holistic and empathetic form of care prioritizes the alleviation of symptoms, effective pain management, and the comprehensive addressing of emotional, social, and spiritual needs for patients. Distinguished from hospice care, palliative care is accessible at any phase of an illness, regardless of the prognosis, fostering open communication and collaborative decision-making. It guides patients and their families through the intricate landscape of illness with grace and comfort, ensuring that individuals seeking insights into palliative care can readily discover its crucial role in the realm of healthcare.

Reviews from Families of Patients

“Everyone is very positive and thinks of everything to accommodate a patient and relieve suffering. Not only do they care about the patient, but also any family/caregivers. They are truly a call away at anytime. I can't thank them enough for all the support, compassion and understanding. I've seen many hospice centers and homecare, and Lehi Hospice exceeds all standards! They are angels!"

M. Hogue, Utah

“My husband Carl had Lehi Hospice for about 2 weeks. He passed away May 19th. While on hospice he received the best of care. Each hospice employee went above and beyond to see his needs were met. They helped me to know what to expect and how to better care for him. His pain management was handled well and he passed here at home with dignity. We were all there when he passed away and that meant everything to us, his family! God Bless you all.”

L. King & Family, Utah

“Even though we couldn't accept this being the end of Mom's life we finally called Lehi Hospice. You were with us for only 24 hrs but so thankful you were there. You came in and took over and we needed that. We didn't know what to do first and you made the phone calls that needed taken care of. I'm so grateful for you! My only regret is we didn't call sooner. Thank you so much!!"
